The Big Blogosphere in the Sky

Thursday, September 15th, 2005

Michael King is wrapping up his blog Rambling’s Journal. Granted every time Micheal called someone from the left a moonbat I wanted reach through the information super highway and smack him, but he kept an interesting blog and he was some that everyone should check er disagree through him i got a very good look at how tyrannical reactionary hawks conservatives think. Anyway Godspeed on what ever you are doing next Michael.

This being the 3rd blog I pay attention to in a month going to the big blogosphere in the sky. I started to wonder what happens when a blog closes up. Or should I say what should happen? Shouldn’t there be a blog museum, an uber archive that preserves the content of defunk blogs, so that a blogs wisdom, experience, ignorance and stupidity can be preserved for ever? I know most of the stuff in the blogosphere is merely mental flotsam an d jetsam, but I think there is enough good content to warrant saving the whole shebang. I know there is the wayback machine but that is just too slow and its mission is to expansive. It is an archive of entire web, not just the blogosphere. As such it is not easy to browse through. Anyway I think I got 1 or 2 readers so I’ll ask yall the question. Anything like that exist right now? And if not shouldn’t there be ?

Venom Sandman Hobgoblin
Tocher Grace Thomas Haden Church James Franco

These three scary guys are slated to battle Your Friendly neighborhood Spiderman in Spiderman 3 scheduled for May4, 2007

Freeze Dried Movies

Sony has been taunting us for quite sometime now and have only given us clues as to who we might see in Spiderman 3, which hits theaters May 4th, 2007. What we know is only that Thomas Haden Church, Topher Grace and James Franco will be in the film and that two out of the three of them are conformed villains.

Actually all three are villains. Topher Grace will play be Venom. Church will play Sandman. And franco will revise is role as Harry Osborn but will become Hobgoblin instead of Green Goblin II(like he is supposed to).

Criticisms

  1. Avoid needless deviations from the original concept
Harry is supposed to take on the mantle of the Green Goblin, not the Hobgoblin, while Hobgoblin was a formidable foe, his motivation are completely different than that of Green Goblin. Remember it Harry’s own insanity fueled by his the need for his fathers approval that drives Green Goblin II. Hobgoblin in all his forms, was lusted from money and power.
  2. Avoid using too many Villains
This was one of the Batman Movies flaw, other than poor writing, deranged casting, and weak acting.

  3. Avoid using more Novel Villains just cause their novel.
They become a crutch for the writer and it shows. I’m talking about venom. compared to Green Goblin, And Doc Ock, Venom is a youngster. Also to make his presence feasible in this story, his origins will have to be changed, unless the movie is going to go through the trouble of explaining the entire “Secrete Wars”, which of course would be a mistake
  4. Break away from the trilogy paradigm
While I agree the audience is not going to stick around for Spidey 8, I think they could tolerate four or five. This would give them time to deal with more of the ups and downs of Peter Parkers personal life, deal more with J Jonah Jamison’s obsession with spider man. May be even adding in Gwen Stacy, to the mix. Also a few more of the classic villains could be dealt with like Like Vulture, Smyth or the Lizard. The point is to take your time. There is a lot of Spidey history to deal with.

9-12-2005

Monday, September 12th, 2005

Yesterday, I went nearly the whole day before realizing that it was the 4th anniversary of 9/11. You don’t even have to say the year anymore for people to understand what you are talking about. Its like the day itself is a superstar like Cher, Madonna, or Oprah that you don’t have e to say their last name. (What is Cher’s last name anyway?). Anyway, I went to church, attended my nieces Christening, took a nap, took the family to the park for a few hours, it was beautiful sunny day, did some shopping, got some dinner, tried to get my kids into bed on time, failed, put together a gliding rocking chair, and fell a sleep on the couch. Watched the ending of ‘Ocean’s Eleven’, which went of at 11:30 PM EDT. It wasn’t until the news came on, and it had all of the 9/11 memorial services, around the Del-Valley that I got up and checked the calendar.

I felt a guilty for not remembering, like forgetting your wife’s birthday. You are supposed to remember. At the same time we have lived with the memory of that day and of those times every day since. Everything has a 9/11 tie in, we went to war because of 9/11. We re-elcted a President for 9/11. 9/11 dictates our energy policy. 9/11 dictates our relations with Mexico, & S. America. Can’t even go to McDonald s and and order French fries, I’m sorry Freedom Fies, and not think of 9/11.

After 4 years of living with 9/11, I am thankful for a pleasant day of rest and worship, without it.
