The Nielsen company (owned by VNU) best known worldwide for its tracking of television viewing has purchased Buzzmetrics, which has then in turn purchased Intelliseek, the company behind the blog tracking service Blogpulse, to become Nielsen Buzzmetrics

Neilsen apparently heeded my warning. ;-)

Copper is used in everything from automobiles to ordnance. Copper allows electricity to be generated, transported and conducted to the various outlets in a modern home. Copper is also relatively scarce compared to other metals like iron or aluminum that make up a good portion of the earth itself. So copper serves as an excellent metallic bellwether for potential future resource scarcity, according to a group of researchers who compiled data on its extraction, use, recycling and discard to estimate whether there is enough copper available to make a developed standard of living available to all the world’s people. The short answer is: no.

Not So Fast

Mac World is tested the new Intel iMacs, comparing them against the G5 versions. Apple they are TWICE as fast as the G5s but Mac World found different results.

Since the first rumors of an Apple switch to Intel, everyone has been wondering about the potential speed of Intel-based Macs. Last week’s announcement of the first shipping Intel-based Macs brought with it the promise of a major speed boost: Apple’s Web pages suggest that the new iMac, powered by the Intel Core Duo processor, is twice as fast as its G5 predecessor.
