Dell is STILL Blogging
Wednesday, March 1st, 2006One of my favorite bloggers, who I thought quick blogging, Dell Gines, is still blogging !!! And he has a great post about the intellectual laziness that supports talk radio. And much of the blogosphere, if you ask me.
Talking points…yeah, that is the power of talk radio, which has long evolved past the point of providing commentary and soliciting reasoned discussion based upon the topics produced. It has now become a hyperbolistic, polarizing, personality driven industry that seeks to keep people ‘riled’ up on the pro or con side of an argument as opposed to really making people stop and say, “What is this problems we are facing, and what are the real solutions?” Talk radio has now become, “Those who are outside OUR special view of the world have nothing legitimate to add to the discussion and IF YOU LISTEN AND FOLLOW WHAT THEY SAY YOU WILL ULTIMATELY BE DESTROYED”. Those of you who listen to Rush Limbaugh feel what I am saying, where the art of demonizing alternative views has made him a Picasso amongst finger painters in the radio business.
