Fuel Cells, Remember them?

A researcher at UC Davis has made breakthrough that could would lower the operating temperature in Fuel Cell systems, getting us closer to the “holy grail” of clean, cheap, renewable energy.

A new way to make cubic zirconia with very small crystal sizes could be key to making hydrogen fuel cells more reliable and cost-effective.

The invention by a team led by Zuhair Munir, distinguished professor of chemical engineering and materials science at UC Davis, was recently included in Nanotech Briefs magazine’s Nano50 awards for 2007. The awards recognize technologies, products and people most likely to impact the state of the art in nanotechnology.

Security Hole found in iPhone

IPhone Flaw Lets Hackers Take Over, Security Firm Says - New York Times
A team of computer security consultants say they have found a flaw in Apple’s wildly popular iPhone that allows them to take control of the device.

The researchers, working for Independent Security Evaluators, a company that tests its clients’ computer security by hacking it, said that they could take control of iPhones through a WiFi connection or by tricking users into going to a Web site that contains malicious code. The hack, the first reported, allowed them to tap the wealth of personal information the phones contain.

My Internet went out right in the middle of doing some upgrades to my plugins. That is why archives are not current;y available. Comcast is messing with me. Anyway ssh to the general internet is blocked at my job, so I’m stuck until, can get my ISP situation fixed. Let me know if you see any other funkiness.
