Lord,
Remember and touch the people of New Orleans and all those who are affected by the hurricane that we have named Katrina. We know that you do all things well, and you have a reason for touching your people in this way. We just ask that you have mercy on those who have lost their homes, possessions, health and loved ones. Touch those who are to provide relief and comfort to the hurting and grieving, that they act with quickness and compassion. Touch the officials that they not linger in their duty and service to the people, who are in desperate need. Touch your people who are called by your name that they humble themselves and pray, that they turn from their wicked ways that they seek your face, that they might hear from heaven and that you may heal the land.

We ask for these and all blessings In Jesus’ Name
Amen.

Please take to the time to remember the victims of Katrina and their families in your prayers. And if you have not already please donate to charities that are assisting in the relief effort.
